Living Fit Mommy: Re-Inventing My Playlist on The Daily

So, music is life for my workouts. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve thought I was done dealing and then a great track pops up and gives me that proverbial second wind.  And, while I am addicted to lifting on a near daily basis, I also incorporate the stationary bike and my stepper as much as possible, between sets, to really get that extra torch burning on the calorie front. It’s something I’ve had a lot of success doing over the last year or so and, to be honest, anything that allows me the opportunity to dance my ass off is a good thing.

FULL DISCLOSURE: a couple of these songs are faves of my daughter; she dances with a local youth company, but she’s always had an affinity for movement—even as a tot—so when she hears something she likes, she always asks me to add it to her ever-growing list of tracks so she can dance to her heart’s content.

That said, I’ve found that a lot of her faves, which tend to be Pop-flavored, are also really good for step aerobics and all-out dancing, in general. Even so, I find great dance tracks everywhere, sometimes  even by accident, and always have “Shazam” at the ready for the moment when I find a new one I can add.
