Living Fit Mommy: Get Off The Couch and Workout

I saw the following graphic and thought it was a great way to get folks up and moving. So many of us are quick to veg out in front of the television for hours on end, but won’t commit to even 5-minutes of exercise per day. Take a look:

Of course, if you’re new to exercise, you aren’t likely to know what a lot of these movements are, but don’t let that be an excuse.

If you don’t take the time to look up the various exercises beforehand, just sub out the ones you don’t know for something you do—for example: replace “burpees” with “marching in place” or sub out “planks” for sit-ups—the point is to use the graphic as inspiration to get moving.

FYI: most 60-minute television shows have 18-minutes worth of commercial time, while 30-minute sitcoms have 8-12 minutes worth; it only takes 20-30 minutes of daily activity, coupled with a healthier eating lifestyle, to make a difference.
