Living Fit Mommy: Over Time Not Over Night

Progress is a pain in the ass because it takes sooooooooo long!

No kidding, the best reason to remain true to your fitness regimen is to avoid having to start all over again—yes, the health and wellness benefits are a plus, but when you start from the bottom and get there, you don’t wanna ever go back. That’s just being real.

So, if you’re at the beginning, remember how it feels to be there: the time it takes, the anguish, the pain, and the overall emotional rollercoaster you go through every time you introduce your body to something it’s never done (or hasn’t done in a while). Remember how much you hate the way those jeans fit, or how heartbreaking it is to be so far away from your goal weight…remember it. Write it down. Take a picture (as Smokey would say). And when you actually reach your ideal, you can remain motivated to stay there.

It’s a pain in the ass, I know, but nothing worth having is easy.
